Binding
As a general rule, the heavier the weight of the paper, the more high-quality it will feel. For brochure printing, we recommend anywhere from 120-250 GSM.
The paper finish determines how smooth your brochure will feel. Popular options include gloss, matte, silk, or natural. There are also options for eco-friendly printing, such as using uncoated or recycled paper.
Sizing is completely customisable however; many businesses choose one of three standard brochure sizes:
A4 Size
This size is ideal for high-impact marketing materials and collateral, such as real estate brochures, restaurant menus and annual reports.
A5 Size
This size is a perfect fit for letterbox distribution and can be used for product catalogues, promotional materials and business magazines
DL Size
This size fits neatly within a standard envelope and is often used for mail-outs and invites, takeaway menus and event programs
We recommend digital printing for smaller runs. The high quality of the digital print method gives exceptional colour depth and quality, which also makes it an ideal choice or visual brochure designs.
We recommend offset printing for larger runs as the cost decreases the more units that are printed. Offset printing can manage projects in the thousands with highly consistent results, sharp imagery and precise text.
The final step is binding your brochures. Deciding which style to use depends on many factors, such as cost, design, brochure size and use. Standard binding methods include:
Saddle Stitching
A fast, clean method using large staples to bind your brochure
Rivet Binding
Uses small, round plastic or metal pins to hold the brochure together
Perfect Binding
A strongly lued spine is held together with a cover page
Spiral Binding
Uses a long metal wire coiled into rings to create a flexible document spine
